Anybody heard of the company Twisted Carbon Barrels?

Hi everybody. Another new guy here. I have this old Remington 700 adl chambered in .270 that I've decided to change up a bit. Pretty much everything but the action. And I'll be doing it myself. The wife gave me a $1000 budget to play around with. Not much but I'll do what I can. The end result will be a 6.5-284 Norma for hunting/ target. I read decent reviews on the magpul hunter 700l, so I have one on the way, along with the magpul dbm kit. That's $325. I had almost given up on finding a carbon fiber barrel that would fit in that budget when I came across Twisted Carbon Barrels website. They only chamber in 6.5 creedmoor and they come 24", 1.06" straight contour only. I can rechamber to the 6.5-284, and 24" is what I want. The contour is a little heavier than I want, but the barrel is only $500! As far as quality, you get what you pay for I guess but I don't expect much with my budget. My question is, has anybody heard of this company or their barrels? Sorry this was long winded. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know the answer to this, but is there a difference on the amount of barrel left to chamber if you're starting with a short action caliber and going to long action?

Will cutting a long action chamber get too close to the carbon fiber?

Did a quick google search. Went to their website and saw something familiar at the bottom of the two homepages. I know nothing about the company and cant comment on their quality but I did see some familiar faces. Seems like the scopes that have made it out get ok reviews but are mostly vaporware. If you decide to be a beta tester let us know how it goes. Hopefully your not part of their marketing department.

Having such a long section before the carbon starts looks goofy.

Also suspect that they obviously have the function/setup to do chambers but only invested in 1 reamer, 6.5CM.

I think I'd save another $200 and get a known performer and get what I want. $500 for a carbon barrel is pretty cheap, $500 for a chambered one makes me skeptical.

If you can chamber a rifle, why not just buy a carbon blank and chamber it yourself? That should be doable on the budget you have left.
