I picked up a case of Atlanta Arms' 65gr SBT 5.56 load and have tried it in several rifles, getting extremely varied results. Below are the best and worst examples of what I've gotten so far. Wanted to see if anybody else has tried this load and has cracked the code on why the performance is so different across roughly similar rifles.
Rifle 1 has a BRT SPR profile 16" barrel, 5.56 chamber, 1/7 twist. This rifle can put up a 1.2 MOA or better 10-round group with the AA load.
Rifle 2 is a KAC SR-15, with a 14.5" barrel, 5.56 chamber, 1/7 twist. With the AA load the best group I've gotten yet was a little under 5 MOA. I know this isn't exactly a precision rifle, but on the same range trip this rifle was able to hold a 1.6 MOA 10-round group with IMI 77gr SMK, so I know it's capable of good accuracy with a load that it likes.
