Just started on a 6.5 CM build and wondering what barrels everybody’s having the best luck with? Rifle will be built on aero precision m5 receiver set and will be a bench rifle.

I have several of the 22" 6.5 creedmore jp supermatch barrels and they are very consistent shooters. From my experience the ballistic Advantage premium 6.5 creedmoor barrels shoot just as good but you are limited to a rifle length gas system, which is harder on brass if you push the pressure reloading. The ballistic Advantage premium barrel with factory ammo/high pressure bolt/adjustable gas block is a great bench shooter for low cost. You can't go wrong with a jp supermatch barrel though.

I’ve had great luck with them. Sterling Arsenal built a 6.5G for me using a JP Supermatch and bolt, and it’s been a hammer. It can hold .5moa with its fave ammo: Hornady custom 123gr amax. It’s 1moa gun with even garbage ammo, but I only feed it the Hornady custom now. JP barrels are spendy, but lousy shooting rifles are no fun.

I would seriously consider a Bartlein barrel for my LR308, but it seems exceptionally difficult to track one down for an LR308 application. I know GAP uses them, but it seems they don't make the barrels available for the average Joe anymore. Maybe I just don't know the proper way to go about it...

Just call up compass lake eng, $450 for a Bartlein any way you want it.

Can't go wrong with a JP, Bartlein or proof. I went with a Draco's but I've only got 60 rounds down the pipe so I can't say it's a good barrel with great confidence. It's definitely capable of shooting some good groups. Others I've talked to say the same and they look wicked cool.

I’m right there with you on the bartlein barrels. Iv looked into them but find their website to be hard to use. Guess I don’t know the way to go about either.

Iv heard a lot of good on dracos barrels but have no experience with them. If you get some more rounds through it soon keep me posted. Looks promising so far!
