This has been a bad hunting year for me and my buds. We have two farms we hunt. Its been tough hunting no sign(rubs or scrapes). No acorn on the ground, but at night the fields are full. We have been hunting these two farms for a long time 300 acres all together. I was just wondering if anyone else in this area was having a rough season.

I hunt Campbell and Scott Counties, plenty of food and deer in the woods. I think mast failure is spotty this year. They will be eating green stuff in absense of acorns. Good luck!

I was in the Upper Cumberland area for last weekend's opening session for big gun. Terrible weather and no deer moving. I was doubting my deodorant after two days of striking out. In years past, I'd see 15-20 deer (although mostly doe) per session in the woods. The last two years have been bad weather for opening weekend up there.

Alas, it was better than being at work.
