Had a rodent issue that I need to deal with here at the house and while I'm on 5 wooded acres and legally allowed to discharge firearms on the property, even a .22 was going to be too dangerous. Picked up an FX Wildcat Mk2 Compact in .25 and have been really digging it. Made short work of the squirrels that had been living la vida loca in our attic. Pretty fun targets at 30-50 yards in the trees (150 ft tall Red Cedar, Hemlock and Doug Fir). Have steel out to 90 yards and it's been rather enjoyable shooting from the front porch. Was able to plug data into Ballistic AE and then true it real world. 30 yard zero is 6.4 mils at 90 and remarkably accurate.

I've got Benjamin Marauder with a vortex Diamondback HP that I undoubtedly shoot more than anything else I own. It's just too fun and too quiet not to. It'll rip one jagged hole at 35 yds and drop squirrels/birds consistently 55yds out and 50ft up if you use a slight amount of Kentucky Windage.

Nice. I threw an old Bushy Elite Tac 3.5-21 that was just lazing about the safe on mince and it's been epic. Can't believe I waited this long to pick one of these things up.

I felt the same way. I bought my first one about 2 years ago as a .177 rifle. Since then I've picked up a .22 pistol and .25 rifle. If sound is a concern at all I highly suggest a .177 Marauder. You will not believe how quiet it is and how accurate it is with crosman premier 7.9 lites. This review is 100% accurate to what you can expect out of the box. Quite honestly he's probably sloppy at that distance. I'll shoot some groups for you tomorrow at 35yds

I looked at picking up a Marauder or one of those Crossman (competition level) type rifles, a few years ago. And then our budget was destroyed and it hasn't been a possibility since.

Those items sure multiply in value once they cross the line, up here.

Try Chair Gun a free app tuned to PCPs.
I run a FX500 .25cal. Best rodent control ever.

The rats have no idea that you can see them. I run an IR flood light and it lights up a huge portion of yard.

God damn it! I was trying to convince myself not to get one of these. Now I’m going to have to. I Hate you all. ?

I had a Benjamin Armada for a while. It was super fun to shoot, but not air up. For shooting 25ft in my garage it was too much. I started shooting my springer in the garage again, and bought a 22 rim fire.

I recently dived into the PCP game myself. Being in AZ, I can't legally discharge a firearm anywhere near my house, so I bought a PCP airgun to shoot pack rats and targets out to ~200 yards (got a desert wash just out my backyard - going to be great wind practice!)

I picked up a Bantam Brocock in .25. Topped it with an Athlon 6-24 scope for the distance shots, and running a Sig Romeo3 red dot sight offset for taking out the pack rats. Also have a DonnyFL Ronin suppressor to keep things quiet. Also have a Harris bipod with pod-loc on the way for it.

Ok. So the 17HMR has been tabled until next year. Marauder and pump on the way, .177. Have a ton of different pellets already, including Premier and H&N. Biggest push for this is that I can’t get my Nitro pistons to shoot consistently and the tree rats (squirrels) have been jacking my peaches. Tired of assuming a miss at anything over 15yds. And I doubt a suppressed 22 is going to be as quite and accurate. The future widows of the squirrels, chipmunks and crows thank you. ?

200 yards with something like a .25 JSB .038 BC projectile is going to be really something with about 17 mils of of come-ups and 12.5 lbs of energy.

While my 25 yard groups are pellet sized, 50 about the size of my Vudoo 22LR , a raged hole by 100 they at least 1 inch; 200 isn’t something I can ensure I can hit anything with lethal force or predictable regularity

What kind of pump did you buy? Hopefully Hill!

I'm shooting the .25 JSB King Heavy mk2's 33.95 gr, BC is .046 G1 at 654 fps at the muzzle and I wouldn't take a squirrel shot past 60 yards as the kill zone is just too small. Groups at 90 are ridiculously tight but the margin for error on a twitchy tree rat is virtually nil.

Daystate AirWolf. If it’s not pellet on pellet inside 30 yards, it’s me. 1/2” at 50.
It gets more interest at the range then my custom 6.5 Creedmoor.

Hill floor pump works great, takes a couple minutes (80 strokes) for 30shoots out of a marauder and some effort. Also have a carbon fiber tank but driving down to the dive shop/Airsoft field got tiresome after awhile. You could get a larger volume tank however or a high pressure compressor.

3600psi with a hand pump.

LOL yeah well, remember as kids when we had normal multi pump guns that were only meant to be pumped no more than 10 times and us being the dumb kids we were thought we could get extra power if we pumped more and all that happened was we'd tire ourselves out? Well, at least with this rifle pumping more than 10 times is actually worth it. :D
