    Anyone tried anything like this?

Tired of chasing/replacing batteries and leaky batteries. A USB bank could power multiples.

At $3.99 a copy, you can't afford to NOT try one. I took all of mine apart and hardwired them back into my Autodrives. Even that wasn't difficult. Did require a little soldering though.

That's what I was thinking price wise.
Did you do the powder check alarm as well, assuming you run them? If so any issues with the wire impeding the movement?
I didn't do the powder checks. My XL650's are set up for 9mm and .45ACP. So, a little powder goes a long, long ways. I just keep an eye on them. I'm not real enthusiastic about putting powder checks on them, I keep a constant eye on those machines when they are running.

For clarification, I'm referring to the powder check die in station 3, not the powder measure/hopper itself.
Ahhh, gotcha. Yes, actually I did wire them (powder checkers in station 3) back to the Autodrives. Wiring them wasn't difficult either.

Yes, I did originally think you were referring to the low powder sensors in the hoppers.

Never spent the money on those myself.
I can't imagine myself running with an autodrive. So many things to watch at once.

I originally was looking for a converter from 110 to 1.5v with multiple (5) outputs for 2 650's and a 550b. The USB option just looked like the easy button.

Not real thrilled with the Dillon powder checks. The geometry makes them really difficult to get properly dialed in for very small variations of powder charges for 9mm and .45ACP. I've thought about buying the Double Alpha checkers (different geometry), just haven't gotten around to it.

And yes, things happen fast with Autodrives, both good and bad.
