ANYONE HAVE A LOAD FOR 110 VMAX IN 308

Re: ANYONE HAVE A LOAD FOR 110 AMAX IN 308

Factory 700 VSSF 26", GMM brass, 49gr of AA2460 for 3300fps and great groups. I dont have oal but it was as long as possible while leaving enough shank in the neck.

Same set up squeezed 49gr of Varget for 3275fps but groups were eratic.

0.75" 3 shot group at 100 yards 110 gr
0.85" 3 shot group at 100 yards 110 gr
1.09" 3 shot group at 100 yards 110 gr

110 gr Vmax moly .308 LC or WW brass, 44.9 gr surplus bulk IMR4895 that acts more like H322, 2.815"
I have shot this before [2950 fps 22" barrel], and the reason that is all the powder I put in is because that is all that will fit in the military brass, the WW has room for another 4 gr. ~ 43kpsi </div></div>
That is a wimpy load, but nothing else shot that well that day.

Re: ANYONE HAVE A LOAD FOR 110 VMAX IN 308

Hopefully this isn't too much of a thread-jack.

Disregard the following. Explanation at the end...

Anyone have a reduced velocity load for this bullet? For those asking "Why?"....I've recently acquired a low quality night vision scope with really shitty eye relief and I'm trying to reduce the recoil to avoid "scope-eye" and to retain the target in the reticle through the recoil impulse.

The intended purpose of this load will be shooting coyotes at night at ranges not to exceed 100 yds. I figure if I can keep bullet energies above 1000 fpe, that should be plenty for 'yotes. All the starting loads that I've found are at velocities upwards of 3000 fps. I'm looking to *safely* attain velocities in the 2300-2400 fps range.

**ETA**

Problem solved. Rather than try and re-invent the wheel I'm gonna throw the night optic on my carbine length AR. Its been so long since I've shot it, I forgot it was in the safe.
