Was looking to put something together that I could wear most of my essential stuff and have the option of supplementing with a smaller ruck if needed and go out in the desert during the day to shoot/hunt/whatever. I was going to set this up mainly got a bolt gun but have the easy option of changing out the Triad AICS box magaine pouches for pouch for 20 rounder ARs or just toss the 20s in another general purpose pouch, each enough.

I've seen a few of the 'how I set up my SOTECH harness' but was curious if the BLOCS pistol belt option is sturdy enough to be used like a warbelt is in regards to attaching to, and drawing your handgun? Specifically, how sturdy is it as I have a Safariland holsters and the GCODE attachment system (either the duty drop adapter or the PALS 'disk') and wanted to be able to draw my sidearm from the holster without it flipping around or drooping or just not being where I need it to be, just like I do from the VTAC Brokos warbelt I have for my carbine setup that barely ever moves, is taut when pulled and the holster/warbelt combo don't 'give' when I pull the sidearm.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I've got the older design and not the new "belt" version and I think it's too difficult to make snug enough to mount a pistol on. The belt version may be a different story though.

I've run a ruck over top of similar hydration harnesses (both a SOTech falcon and TAG gladiator) out in the desert during the day and I found it very uncomfortable. Might I suggest a modular shoulder harness and a light weight pack that attaches via molle?
HSGI modular padded shoulder harness paired with any duty or battle belt. And then mount a Grey Ghost Gear lightweight assault pack on the harness. Tactical Tailor and Milspec Monkey both market the same pack with slight variations.

I'm not sure why your set on S.O. Tech. I owned a falcon chest rig for a while. The materials and construction were great but their designs are out dated and over priced.

There is also the Tyr Coma system you might find interesting.

I have a Condor belt with their suspenders. I mounted their hydration pouch to it. I have a couple triad mag pouches, a dump pouch, and a couple accessories pouches. It works well and was not super expensive. I will try to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow.
