Starting to save my pennies to get a thermal clip on that can be used as a handheld. Looking to get to about $6-7K before I pull the trigger on one. SPIs X28 has caught my eye but I cant seem to find any reviews on it. It looks like the Nivisys UTAC-32 but for a few grand less. I would love to hear feedback on this unit or others in this price range.
It will be used for detecting game out to 400-600 yards and then mounted on a 6.8 in front of a 4x optic. I already have the night vision setup but want this for the 2nd hunter. Getting into big cat hunting and need to be able to see them hiding in the brush. Shots will only be to 300 yards max and probably 250 or less normally.
