Anyone know of a good, dedicated reloading forum?

Re: Anyone know of a good, dedicated reloading forum?

I can think of one but won't recommend them because they banned me for what I said about Winchester lever actions, which wasn't complimentary. Apparently some mod was a huge nostalgia buff? BB

If you can't find what you need here, Sinclair, Dillon, Sierra, Hornady, Graf and Sons, and most other top tier companies in the reloading space have talented and helpful technicians available to take your calls. I might call Sierra first, especially if you shoot their bullets! 1.800.223.8799

Snipers Hide is the best for long range shooting, gunsmithing, and rifle scopes. It is second to 24HCF for buying and selling. The moderation at SH is the best law, order, and justice in gun forums.

Home gunsmith is best for building guns from scratch.
Candlepower is best for building flashlights.
Long Range hunting is good for GPS and Bart Bobbitt sightings.
The high road is good for 38 special target shooting
Castboolits is the best for cast bullets
Homeshop machinist is the best for lathes.
Practical machinist [I somehow no longer meet membership requirements] is the best for mechanical engineering.
SWFA is second only to SH for optics.
6mmBR has a very good forum, but not as good at anything as SH.
Sawmill creek is the best for woodworking.
Gunboards is the best for collecting surplus, and Parallax Bill is #2.
Shootersforum and Leverguns for old guys with older guns

The Handloads.com database was linked by lamironman, but the forum section is HERE. There's not a lot of long-range or precision shooters there but lots of wisdom about most any kind of gun there is. Not much need for a moderator there because everyone is cool (or just too old to have ego issues

). It can get slow there at times but I keep going back for the occasional pearl of wisdom that saves my bacon.

alot of smart guys, that seem to answer questions pretty fast.

My reloading posts get deleted there, for being dangerous.
Not an environment for competing ideas.

I'm one of their chat mods and hang out there, as well as here.

I'm reminded of the Far Side cartoon where it shows a big field divided by a tallish hedge.

On one side, you have the ladies Tea Cup Poodles meeting and they're throwing a party with their foo-foo dogs all out and about.

On the other side, you see the Falconers' club meeting with all of their birds of prey perched on their handlers' arms.

For some reason, that came to mind after reading your post.
