I was trying to call in coyotes and this little guy come hang out every time id give the cottontail in distress call. He wasn't very big, maybe 10 inches tall, black wings and eyes, everything else was snow white.

Every time i fired off the cottontail in distress call, his head would start darting back and forth trying to figure out where it was coming from. He never found it, since he wasn't looking for a little camo speaker, but it wasn't for a lack of trying.

I googled "white tailed kite" and there's no doubt about it, thats him. You know your raptors my friend. Thanks.

I've had lots of birds come in to the call. Ravens most commonly, but also hawks, owls and a Hummingbird.
I was using mouth calls and the damn hummingbird came right up 6" from my face/call and just hovered in front of me. I stopped calling and it flew off. Started calling again and it came back haha. I was tempted to smack the thing haha

Dam that's impressive.

This thread made me laugh at myself. Had a red tailed hawk come down and carry off my rabbit skin decoy doing a rabbit in distress call last year.

Good pic.

I had an eagle or osprey or something pick up my live shiner I was fishing with in florida one time, flew off with it until he hit the end of my line then dropped it. Shredded it so bad I took it off the hook and threw it back in the water. He came back down and picked it up and was gone. Does that count as crazy?!
