I have one, and my dad does as well. Both perform flawlessly and really excel with the factory 140 grain A-max load.

Not a DPMS, but i have a POF gas piston 6.5 creemoor, shoots great and doesn't tear up any brass.

Thanks Scott, I have a DPMS in 6.5 CM on the way.
I will buffer the brass deflector on it and we will see how it runs,,hope it wont rip on the brass.
Will give some info on it as it gets run in.

Are the DPMS's prone to tearing up the 6.5 Creedmoor brass?

I have the DPMS in 6.5 Creedmoor and it doesn't hurt the brass any. I even made some brass out of 308 going by another thread on here. Worked out pretty good but I would recommend buying new brass or 1x fired brass though. A lot less work. I mainly did it because I wanted to see if I could. Now if my scope would just get here!!!!!

The Dpms creedmoors shouldn't rip up the brass, some of the earlier ones and/or some of the custom ones in the early days were a little over gassed and had some ejector marks in them.

I have 200 5X fired CM brass out of my bolt gun that still looked good
so,,,,160 rounds loaded up with the 140 A-Max and 41.5g of 4350.
Rifle will be here in the AM,,mount up the M5 Mil/Mil then out to the dirt for some D.O.P.E.
