Due to the overwhelming response to our GearHog offer on July 21, 2011, our shipping lapse time has been extended. This extension is very unusual and solely due to the enormous amount of orders we received in a 3 day time period. We are working diligently and efficiently to reduce our shipping backlog and fully expect to be back to normal very soon.
We thank you for your patience during this extraordinary period. We are committed to bringing the finest quality ammunition made right here in the USA to the market place and as a result our processes were overwhelmed by your tremendous support of our recent offer. As a consolation for your patience, we are extending each of you a one time use of our MOREAMMO shipping discount. You may use the MOREAMMO coupon on your next order. This offer is not available for users who use a second GearHog gift certificate.
Again, thank you so much for your tremendous support of our efforts to keep ammunition manufacturing alive in the USA. We look forward to providing you with the highest quality ammunition. Please visit

Have a great day!

Hello and thank you for the update, saw this coming after the order numbers reached 2000. The S.Hide has been known to repeatedly send orders through the roof.
I have heard some good reports but also heard some not so good. There have been reports on the forum of a lot of cases of failures to feed, some from OAL being too large, possible high pressures and gun malfunctions caused by some of the ammo people have got from you guys. I have heard it about 223/5.56 and 308 175 grains. I have heard that you guys have worked things out by sending replacement ammo. I'm wondering if things (QC) has caught up to this and those batches are no longer in your inventory or if I need to be cautious about even shooting the 240 rounds of 308 175's I ordered through this deal.
Thank you for your help.</div></div>

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">We have very few issues with our ammunition. However, guns are unique and we are not alone with isolated incidents. Most of our competitors are very slow to react to any QC issues and consumer resolutions are often only facilitated through 3rd party intervention. We are proud to have the reputation we do, of taking proactive stances and soliciting feedback from each customer so that we can refine our processes. Unfortunately, because of the unique nature of most firearms, it is impossible to cater to each individual piece. We are committed however, to refine our processes through customer feedback so we can produce the highest quality ammunition made right here in the USA.
We are confident you will find our ammunition is the highest quality and it is made right here in the USA. Happy shooting.</div></div>

I hope it runs fine for me as it is a great deal on what should be great ammo. I figured the problems might have been from a certain batch or specific day during manufacturing. I understand these things do happen and I appreciate the way you have handled it. It would help a lot if you had time to post what you sent me on the S.Hide site or if you don't mind I could post your last reply there for you. Quick reaction like yours goes a long way, hard to find good CS these days and it is surely appreciated at the Hide.
Thanks again.

It would be unethical for us to engage in those forums and debate. We are very confident in our processes and our product and that confidence has rendered thousands of very positive comments about our company on many different forums.
Again, we thank you so much for supporting our efforts to manufacturer the finest quality ammunition right here in the USA. The ability to proudly display Made in the USA is quickly evaporating and many manufacturers turn to outsourced foreign labor that can cause many issues with quality control. We will never take those extraordinary steps and we are proving that Americans can still manufacture the finest quality products at very reasonable prices.</div></div>

I know they haven't been on here to see how some of the vendors work with the people on here. It usually does nothing but good for their business and for the sport but I guess not everyone has the time or enough people to have someone present on a forum like this. At least they seem confident in their QC, hopefully it all works out. I know problems come up and its all about how it is handled. USAammo's customer service has been great so far and I hope there are not that many problems in the future. We'll see how it goes from here I guess.
