Anyone tried....

There's a few reviews out there on the internet regarding this ammunition.....

The consensus that I've gathered reading through some of those reviews is that it's a short range, small game hunting and plinking cartridge for areas that restrict the use of lead bullets. Accuracy was average at 25-50 yards and practically hit a wall at about 100, which isn't surprising for a lightweight .22 bullet going that fast. Good long range .22 ammo is heavy and slow, you really don't want that much speed because it will cause the round to do funky stuff when it goes transonic.

Yeah, what he said. The hyper-vel CCI ammo is not match grade. It is fast, and then it is fast... Sometimes if you can hit the tgt it will kill with impressive results. I sometimes try to hunt squirrel with it but I struggle to print 1/2" to 1" groups with it with most rifles so I lack the confidence to take the long shots with it. The copper poly ammo is new and I have not had the chance to try it yet. My comments we general included the Mini-Mags and Stingers. Stinger is the closest wt and vel to the copper poly stuff. They shoot like all hot loads, fast and not that accurate. And once it slows down and goes trans-sonic, you will get another ripple in your accuracy. Should work good on cats at 20y though ;0)

P.S. For longer range rimfire, I am using 17 mach2 with 17g jacketed ballistic tip going about 2100 fps. It is pt blank at 100y. Also 17hmr with 17g going 2600 fps or 20g going 2300fps. Finally, 17WSM with 25g going 2650fps or 20g going 3100fps. All of those are better long range IMO. All of these can do sub-MOA at 200y.
