Anyone use a MDT chassis for their rifle?

I was browsing around and came across the Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) TAC 21 SA chassis. I am not sure if Im in love with it or not. On one hand it looks good, but almost too "tacticool", and I have no idea if its any good. I have only seen a few pictures of it, but not too much to read about people using them.

I was hoping the Hide could give me a little info and let me know what y'all think of it.

I just dont know if its worth the money, thats kinda close to a AI chassis in price, but at the same time, I dont like having what everyone else has, I know the AI is a proven chassis, but I like to stand out from the crowd every now and then.

I was wondering about this system. Its modularity with AR-15 makes it very alluring. I hope someone who has it comes across this thread.

I have built a couple .308's using this chassis and both customers were very pleased with it.

By the time you equip it you will likely be paying around what you would for the AICS that being said it is a pretty sleek sexy option!

Here is the breakdown as I see it:
Chassis: 699.99
PRS Stock: 250.00
Ergo Tactical Delux Grip: 32.95
AICS 5-round mag: 64.99

Your looking at 1047.93 give or take.

An AICS 1.5 are going for 872.14 on mile high and that comes with a magazine. You can get a 2.0 which adds a folding stock for 1086.43.

So that chassis ranks right between the two as far as cost. I did seriously look at these chassis for my newest R700 and probably would have gotten one if a friend hadnt had a B&C already inletted for bottom metal that I was able to slap it in and save quite a bit of money (at the expense of features but its not my primary tactical rifle mostly just a hunting gun).

part of the reason i dont want a ACIS is because everybody has one, i dont like to fit in with the crowd, i wouldnt mind standing out as long as i dont sacrifice on accuracy. i like the ar15 platform because it is so modular, thats also what attracts me to this chassis

The biggest disadvantage I see to the MDT is the lack of folding stock options. There is likely some sort of attachment to fix this but as it stands right now you would be stuck with a fixed stock that might cause issues removing the bolt from you rifle depending on the height of whatever adjustable stock you use.

If you want to stand out why not just get some bright pink viperskins...Not a lot of guys sporting these I am betting.

I have held the rifle in that pic. It belongs to a USMC Scout sniper instructor who did a couple of Cerakote jobs for me. He loves that gun and it is his baby. I played with it for a while and I didn't find anything about it I didn't like. He shoots some pretty major comps with it and it has served him well from what he told me. He is building a new custom and has a McCree chassis for that one FWIW.
