Anyone use a stud to pic rail adapter with any luck? Are they worth a shit?

I’ve got some hunting rifles with sling studs and would like to run them with better bipod options than the old Harris. Short of doing some work to the stock and permanently affixing a pic rail in the stock somehow, are these adapters a good option? Have any of y’all tested these?

Never seen a pic rail adapter, but the principle can work. Long ago, before I got to drilling into the stock, I used used the Versa Pod adapter for a PH style bipod. That adapter grabbed onto the sling stud then tightened against the stock and worked fine. No wobble, never damaged the stock or stud for the several months I had it on there.

I actually just ordered this for my Tikka CTR to use with my Atlas Bipod until I get an aftermarket stock. Hopefully it work's ok. I figured if it doesn't, I'm only out $14. Plus, ordering it through Amazon, if it's a POS, I can return it. Win-Win in my mind

I have but the contour didn't match my stock at all. I just got a small rail installed by a smith instead.

This is what I’m worried about. I’m not sure the particular stocks I’m looking at doing this with are flat enough. I don’t particularly use these rifles much with a pod, but as I get older I’d kind of like the option.

I agree it'd be awesome to have one that works well. Mine didn't interface 100% flush and I didn't want to risk fucking up my stud while sliding over prone. I just said fuck it, but was able to use the swivel stud if I took the rail off. I dunno if these are show grade stocks you're talking about, though.

I have this exact same one on my CTR also. Works fine, has not loosened and is inexpensive to boot.
