Suppressors Anyone using Gem-Tech Sandstorm?

I am looking for smallest, lightest, .30 cal can for my deer rifle.
Any informed input would be appreciated.
Im not set on the Gem-Tech just one recomendation from a friend.

My deer rifle is a 300WSMstandard so can has to stand up to the pressures.

I do have a Shark Jaws and shot my tightest group to date with it last weekend. Will post a review when I get a chance.

Thanks guys. Their is alot of advertisements by the manufacturers saying they are the best. I would rather hear from the end users as to what they think.

I have one and I shot a competition with it last weekend on my .308. I had to reshoot two stages because it was too quiet for the timers to pick up, my partner and I took 5th place in the team event (65 teams of active duty, LEO, and civilians), I took 2nd place in an Accushot sponsored single shot cold bore stage at 125 yards, and I also took 1st in the individual long range match running my Sandstorm. With it on my AI AE Mk III, I actually shoot tighter groups with the can on opposed to running the factory AI brake (YMMV).

I have one and love it, very quite on rifles from 6mm to 30 caliber.

I have fired a LaRue OBR, 18" with a sandstorm. Shot great groups and extremely quite. I would highly recommend Gem Tech.
Plus they are from my hom town, so I may be slightly bias!

I have one I bought after shooting Black-X's a few years ago. I like it very much, and would recommend it. I've been using it on my .308 bolt gun, but it will make the transition to an OBR next week.

I'd just make 100% sure that the caliber you plan on shooting with it is good to go. I believe that the can is rated for .300 WinMag and under.

I was going to get one, but there have been many post about the welds coming loose and rattling baffles...

there is a recall from Gemtech right now.

If you buy from a stocking dealer make sure it's not one of these serial #'s

I have one and had to send it back. Both end caps had hairline cracks due to faulty welding. First started rattling after less than 20 shots of 300 win. Then end cap weld broken screwing it off and came apart in pieces. Gemtech took care of me and repaired it. Then the Ups driver lost/stole it until I threatened to get the BATFE involved, then He somehow found it. It just appeared on his truck. I have been told Gemtech has since changed their welding process. Got a AAC cyclone (in my opinion) much better can. Also have 338 Tbac can. I would go with the TBAC 30 cal can over Gemtech anyday of the week. But in all fairness, Gemtech took care of me. Customer service was great and that means alot.

Yes I ordered the TBAC 30

If you noticed in the above link the S12 seral #'s where made in 2012 so this is not a old problem
