I just spent about $50 on 500 pellets and a .22 adapter. The pellets have a hole that looks about the size of a ball point pen ball, the adapter measures .160 about the same diameter as the 8-32 thread that screws into your rod. The pellets won't go on and if I can force them on they won't go down the barrel. Any help? Thanks in advance.

I use the Pro Shot Products VFG Adaptor, if you use the actual VGF made one you have to get a different rod because the threads are 8/36 instead of 8/32

I use the set up below from Champions Choice. Works for 22, 6mm, & 6.5 pellets. They have a different adapter for the 30 cal, but it uses the same double thread adapter.

I have been using them for 15+ years. I have never done the 3 pellet deal. The singles work just fine for me.
Thanks, I have one of those adapters coming. I thought the 3 pellet would be better for lapping.
I use the pro shot which is a double. Double is great... 1 strong push to push out everything yucky, and the screwed on pellet for scrubbing.
I use them as well. I have that 3 pellet adapter and don't have any issues using it. I do have to twist the pellets onto it to get them to stay but they stay put and do a damn good job of cleaning out my CZ 457.
I use weedwhacker line. Great for 10/22's when you don't want to pull the action out of the stock, but works on any platform. Just flare the end of piece about a foot longer than your barrel and feed the pellets on. Insert from the chamber and pull through.
