So here's the deal, I am brand new to the bolt gun world. I own some black rifles and shoot them often but I have been lurking on this site for a couple years, I bought a rifle from a member here 2 years ago and lost my job and had to sell it before I even got to shoot it.
So 2 years later I am back at it. I have a new rifle coming that will be here next week and I have spent a fair amount of cash trying to do this right this time and it is all finally coming together. I have pretty much everything needed to get this little experiment going and now I need some help putting it all together. I am sure I am going out on a limb here asking for help but hey figure its worth a shot. I work a pretty demanding job, I am married and have a couple of wonderful children so I understand life is crazy. If someone is interested in taking on an apprentice I am good for gas, food, beer, ammo or whatever.
I figured it would be easiest if I laid out my equipment so you know what you are getting into as far as that is concerned. Many a time have I offered to help someone with a project only to find out they don't even have the basic tools needed to complete the task. This list has holes in it and I am aware of the fact that I am going to need to pickup some stuff along the way but I feel this is a pretty good starting point.
-FN SPR in .308~need to get rail installed on stock for my Atlas
-Nightforce optics
-Spotter
-Data book
-Kestrel
-Misc. gear rearbag, stock pack, drag bag, shooting mat and other nylon covers and junk
Enough stuff to get me in trouble anyway. Let me know if there is anything major I am missing or if you are willing to help a guy get started in this whole long range bolt gun mess.
