The Carbon X is a carbon fiber stock 100% designed and made in South Africa. Like any of our projects, APW products and equipment are based on the needs of shooters like you.

Why the X you ask? The Carbon X was designed from the ground up to be a hybrid system that can flourish in multiple disciplines. Whether you are taking your 6.5PRC hunting or attending a competition, the Carbon X will exceed your expectations

First, we assess why something should be made, then we figure out how best to make it. Simple enough, right? In theory, yes, but in application, it takes a mastery in a host of critical disciplines: design & engineering, material selection, the fabrication process, and testing. We'd say that the results are worth it, and if you've ever used any of our products, you probably agree.

It appears that is the case but there is no mention of a mini chassis, weight, length or any technical info on their site.
It weighs about 2.8 lbs. The bottom metal is integrated in the stock, the inlets are available in Rem700 SA RH & LH, as well as Tikka T3x SA RH. It is designed to accept AICS magazines.

It uses spacers for the LOP (13.25" to 14" LOP), and a quick adjustable cheek rest. Comes with ARCA/Picatinny rail included. And there is a weight kit (internal, external and butt weights) that can be purchased separately.

Hope that helps, let us know if you have any more questions!

Hello,

I am looking for a stock that is tailored to smaller hands. My hand measures 7.4 inches from finger tip to crease of palm (average size) and I find that when using Manners stocks my hand just kind of hangs off to the side instead of my palm resting on the palm swell just so I can get a 90 degree finger placement on the trigger. I sold all my Manners stocks and moved to chassis' however, I am still hoping to one day find a "conventional" looking stock that can accommodate the ergonomics of an average sized hand.

I hope you can answer a few questions;

- What is the size of your stock compared to a Manners TCS, specifically, front grip to trigger when using a flat trigger shoe?
- What is the min LOP?
- AW magazine compatible?
- Does the inlet have room for the ARC CDG trigger hanger? It extends forward a little more and needs some extra milling on some 700 inletted stocks/chassis.

Much appreciated,

Hello vno.helix,
Thank you for your question, I am happy to provide you with as much info as I can.

1. Front of the pistol grip to a flat trigger shoe is about 1.75"
2. Minimum LOP (trigger to buttstock) about 13"
3. AW/AICS compatible.
4. I would need the dimensions of the trigger hanger to be able to give you an accurate answer. We have had a customer with another brand action that uses a trigger hanger, and it did fit without any extra milling required.

I hope this was helpful,

Regards,
Sherif

Thank you for the information Sherif, here are the measurements of the CDG action.

Is the magazine latch height adjustable or do you have different mag latches for AICS vs AW?

I hope you don't mind I am posting these questions here instead of a PM. I figured this info might help some others as well.

Unfortunately not at this time. I am on the road and have no access to my rifle. I will be back in a day or 5. From memory the total lenght of the trigger hanger is 60mm so 10 mm would be the measurement you are looking for. I went trough all this prior to milling my KRG W3 stock so this I had these pictures on file.

Ok, as per the provided dimensions it should fit, there shouldn't be any interference. However, I would need the last dimension to make sure no interference between the hanger and the stock aluminum insert. Once you are able to provide that measurement please email it to us at [email protected]

I have placed 2 Carbon X orders.
One is for my company/my use and one for a customer.
Do you have any time schedule, when you have Tikka SA Carbon X stock ready for shipping?
For my customer i did order Tikka LA stock, those were a little bit longer delivery time, but i did know that when
i did place my order.
Really looking forward to get that stock that i did order to my self :)

Hello,

Did you order those through our website?

If so, kindly email us your order number at [email protected]

Thank you!

I have not read the line, i thought that i was writing on the factory that is from SA :D
Now i just read that you are from Canada.
But same question, how quick do you get the stock from the factory, when you place the order?
We can't really provide you with a timeline since we order more quantity, and we order a few months before the expected delivery date.

My Carbon X was shipped out from the factory over 2-weeks ago.
Some sort of dicks in customs at Dubai has stopped the package, and it is still there, even
we have send them all the documents they have asked.
I bet that some oil sheik has my Carbon X in Dubai :D

Any way you gents might know what bottom metal is on that stock? And where I could find one for myself? Thanks for the help.
You do not need a bottom metal, it has a minichassis, that kind of is the alloy v-block and bottom metal on the same block.
Just screw your action to the Carbon X, add AICS magazine if you have a SA rifle and enjoy. LA i have sold MDT steel magazines.

I was looking for just the bottom metal itself. I browsed the site and I couldn’t find. I assumed it was a mini chassis embedded in the stock like @viking78 had mentioned. I just really like the square look of the trigger guard.
