I have a DPMS LR-308 and am interested in getting a 20 MOA one piece scope mount.
My rifle has the standard A2 stock and I am using a Mark 4 with a 40 mm Objective.
I currently have Nightforce High (1.25) rings set and they are a little too low for a comfortable check weld. At the time, I tried 1.40s and they seemed too high for bench and prone shooting.
I have been looking at the Nightforce High Uni mount .535 (1.25) and Nightforce Extra high Uni mount .81 (1.40). Since these mounts have an incline, where is the height measured from? (Measured at front, rear or middle of mount?) Does anyone have any experience with these mounts or similar mounts of the same height and MOA? Will the 1.25 still be too low or will the added 20 MOA raise it up a bit in the rear? Will the 1.40 be too high with the added 20 MOA? Any input would be appreciated.
