You'll want to go with either the JP or Young Manufacturing Low Mass bolt and a JP low mass buffer, PRI carbon forened.

You are correct. After many phone calls the Bushmaster Carbon comes in @ 4 pounds which is the least by at least 18 ounces.

Also 200 bucks + more than the DPMS Sportical but worth it.

Which part of the 18 oz difference makes $200 "worth it"? $200 for 1 pound and change?
You can knock 9 oz off EACH hunting boot pretty easy for a lot less. Even more if you're looking at the weight of your clothes, and EVEN MORE if you simply lose 5 lbs before hunting season.

I personally feel that people put far to much emphasis on the weight of a rifle, especially when 10 lbs is pretty moderate AND a box of Wheaties is a pinch over $4.

I'm not saying that an ULTRA LIGHT WEIGHT AR wouldn't be awesome. I'm just not going to blow a $200 tax stamp price to save a few ounces.

My Rem 18" Carbine R-15 in .223 is the lightest Ar-15 I've every handled. It has thin profiled barrel that helps alot, feels like a toy compared to my other guns. Sits nice and easy on my chest with my Magpul MS2 sling.
