AR buffer question

If you put a 16" carbine upper on a lower with an A2 stock/rifle buffer does this cause any problems?

no. buffer/spring is dependent on the stock(or the buffer tube)

Shouldn't, the bolts are the same, the buffer and buffer spring are a completely different weight and length. Function will remain the same.
