Please recommend for me an AR 15 Charging handle that is wide enough to clear my scope ocular.
One I have is stock, and hard to grip the handle due to minimal clearance for my fingers under the mounted scope (which is in perfect visual position)
    Thanks.

I also have the BCM medium on two of my builds. The last 3 I’ve done I could not get the medium latch anywhere so I went with Radian Raptor LT. They are slightly larger than the BCM but they are also ambi. I really like them so far.

I think my favorite is the the Fortis hammer if you dont need ambi. I like Raptors if you do.
I will say stay away from the strike industries charging handles. I bought one that I was very impressed with for the price, so I bought a few more. So far of 6, only the 1st one was in spec.

I own and have used many BCM's for a long time. I recently started using Strike Industries Large Latch charging handles. They are of the same build quality, feel great, I love their Extended latch version and much cheaper, especially when on sale you can get them sub $30.00.

    $31.95

I thought the same on the first one I bought. Ordered a couple more for myself. One for my dad, and recommended a buddy to get 1. Other than the first one, none of them will latch without pushing them forward. I sent 2 back to primary arms and received 2 more that were the same way. This is on 4 different guns that all work perfectly with other charging handles. Maybe primary arms received a bad run, but I won't recommend strike CH's anymore.

I'm a fan of PRIs gas buster. The Badger Tac latch for lefties is nice too, as you can charge it while prone with your right hand.

For red dots, the cheapest milspec I can find.

Another vote for Radian Arms Raptor. I ran BCM’s for years, and still keep them as spares or back-ups. I have recently switched everything over to the Raptor. They are ambidextrous, and the build quality is excellent.
Have not used the Geiselle charging handle yet, but I do use their scope mounts, rails, and triggers. Based on that, I would not hesitate to use their handles.

I've had good luck with the Strike Industries CH so far, for the price they're awesome. My favorite is probably the Fortis Hammer.
If you'll ever have your rifle slung tight on your back you will end up hating any extended latches but some like the BCM or Badger hurt worse than others.
