AR10 trigger

Re: AR10 trigger

If you are wanting to put an AR-15 style trigger in a AR-10 platform and you know the Pin diameter of your lower. If you have a DPMS .308 or 5.56 than you have a .154 diameter pin. I would look at Midway USA. They have all sorts of triggers both two-stage and single stage, and if you want adjustable, or not, and reviews on them. Look into Brownells as well. A couple of things you have to watch out for is the timing, and hammer spring strength to punch hard primers. Also understand that the .308 is a much heavier BCG with more force, so you need to make sure it can hold up to the beating. If you click on my post you will see a bunch of the Hide Members have allready helped me out a ton with this question, and it may help you with yours. Also septic-tank13 did one heck of a nice write up on this question.
One trigger I have been trying to read up on is the new Wilson Tactical TTU single stage. I am looking at it for my DPMS .308

Re: AR10 trigger

While the hole locations and sizes are the same, the greater mass of the BCG means that some triggers are not recomended for the larger platform. Still others will not fit depending on which platform was purchased (JARD won't fit the DPMS). Pick one and then contact the maker to make sure it works.

Re: AR10 trigger

When I had a dedicated .22 LR upper I used a Geissele to reliably set it off. Swapped it over to an AR-10 build without any problems. They're not cheap, but IMO they're the best AR trigger out there.
