I understand the potential of the AR10 platform but I am only interetsed in feedback on the AR-10T 20"

Re: AR10T....any reviews?

I've got a 20" AR10T which I bought brand new last year. It wears a Magpul PRS adjustable stock, Harris bipod and a Premier 3-15x50 scope and right now its got about 220 rounds down the tube. I bought it because I wanted an accurate AR in 308. I had high hopes for it so I sprung for the high dollar scope. It hasn't really lived up to my expectations which are; less than 1moa accuracy with handloads. About 1 moa is the best it will do. I didn't know if it was my handloads or the rifle so yesterday I ran 23 rounds of factory 168 Federal GMM at 100yds. The rifle was rested front and rear. 3 shots to foul the barrel and then 4, 5 shot groups. The first group strung horizontally and the last 3 dispersed evenly around the point of aim. The smallest group size was .9 moa, the largest 1.2moa. Average velocity was 2532fps. Also, this was with a Tubbs Carrier Weight system installed. Which does dampen recoil but doesn't seem to help accuracy.

Also, the gun really scars up the bullet as it chambers. The chamber lugs cut two paths in the bullet jacket as they are fed in. This can't help accuracy but I can't say for certain that it hurts it either. I really like the gun, I just wish it was a tack driver.

</div></div>OK first put the rest as close to the receiver as you can that is a free float hand guard you get better groups the closer you are to the receiver

I would try loading one round at a time by hand and do not put it in the magazine but in the chamber see if that gives you better groups if it does you need to have a good gunsmith remove the sharp corners here is a link to mine

You should polish the feed ramps, it takes very little effort with a dremel, and the polishing kit. It will give you an excuse to buy a new toy if you don't already have one. I bought the wand attachment (like the dentist has) to reach inside of the rifle.
I did this on my DPMS .308, because when it was new it would leave scars on the brass and bullet.I chambered a round from the mag and then cycled it out to see what the round looked like, the before and after was a big change for the better.
Good luck.

Re: AR10T....any reviews?

I moved my bipod right up to the receiver. I haven't shot it for accuracy yet but I'll post back here when I do. I started to polish the feed ramps but stopped because it looked like the inner corners of the locking lugs were the cause. I didn't see how polishing the ramps would do any good.

what scope is that??

Re: AR10T....any reviews?

You can easily build one of these and get a 1/2 MOA gun or better. You need a bench vise and vise block for the receiver and you can assemble it yourself. PM me if you want details. If you want a real accurate one out of the box the LWRC is the most accurate lightweight one out of the box. I have seen these shoot through the same hole consistently. Has all the nice features, trigger, piston driven, side charger, great barrel, and lightweight. If you are military they will take off %20 or more off depending on model. I would love to have one but I have a fluke M1a that is 1/4 moa gun and I am afraid to trade it for anything that could be less accurate.
