Hello everyone,

I start a thread on single stage reloader a while ago. (Here)
And I pretty much decided on getting a Forster Co-Ax, but while googling the detail, I came across something about arbor press (Yes, I'm a reload noob, but love to learn new things). What's the tiny little press about, compare to the Forster? Should I even consider it? BTW, I just start to shoot rifle and learning, currently using a Remington in .308win. Want to reload rifle round to get more consistent ammo.

Re: Arbor Press

Arbor presses are used for seating only. You have to use a Wilson style in-line seating die. Arbor presses are not for sizing. They don't have a consistent stopping point for consistent head spacing during sizing and typically don't have enough leverage for sizing.

For what we do, you can seat using a threaded press just fine. I have a custom inline seater, a Redding competition seater, and a custom threaded seater. The Redding yields as good or better concentricity as the other seaters that were much more expensive.

Admittedly, I used my drill press as an arbor press for my inline seater, but it took more time and yielded the same results.
