ARC Nucleus Headspace Question

Getting ready to install a non shouldered prefit onto a Gen 1.1 Nucleus. One question I’m trying to get an answer to is if I need to remove anything similar to a ejector plunger like I do when head spacing a 700 style action? Any information is appreciated. Thanks

Slip the go gauge underneath the extractor so it doesn’t have to slip over the rim on the steel gauge
Nothing needs to be disassembled.

Actually FWIW, you don't even HAVE TO remove the ejector and extractor of a Rem 700 type action when headspacing them. I just make sure the ejector is lubed and moves freely and I tilt the headspace gauge to slip the rim under the extractor, then chamber the gauge. Works just fine.

That’s how I do it as well on slipping the gauge under the extractor. I do t even attempt to remove the extractor. It’s so easy to remove the plunger, I just always do it.

The beauty of inertial ejection... no ejector plunger to make keep a case/gauge on the bolt face an issue. That reminds me, I need to order some barrels and a barrel vise for mine...
