Are 175 grain .308 Custom Competition and SMKs that different?

I bought 500 of the 175 grain Noslers and tried using the same loads I used with the SMKs and it was no bueno. I’ve trie all my tricks ( load ladders, different powders, different brass) to get these to shoot out of my Noveske N6 to no avail. Any ideas?

And...………...can we see some groups at 300 yds and beyond?
Little experiment on my last string at 600. My first day of f class, not a great group. And I have better groups with smk's but
For the price they aren't bad. Decent amount of wind and bad amount of reading but useable.

I bought a metric tonne of the Nosler 175 CC "blems" a while back for my M14 at 18¢ each. Out of curiosity, I gave them a try in my Rem 700/Shilen barrel at 1K. Wasn't reading the wind and they seem to hold vertical well enough.

Very nice. Obviously they shoot for others. Maybe I should try them again but I'm stocking the F up on Hornady 178s (which do really well in my rifle) and as scarce as supplies are becoming I'm shy of burning any in load development.

The NCC's have been favorites of mine for a long time. Mainly because my load and dope doesn't change from the SMK's ...and the blems have been a real bargain in the past. I have literally fired probably 10k of them in the last 12 years or so.

All that being said, I'm switching to the 178's. I have 2k of them waiting on deck. The shrinking price differential these days just doesn't justify staying with an inferior bullet.
