They use a thinner brass case that isn't rated for standard 308 pressures, so don't try and reload them.

This is what I read but wasn't sure that it was a credible source.

With that rosette-crimped portion forward of the chamber, you'd have to trim them like you were forming them from .30-06.

I wouldn't bother. For that much trouble, just form some from '06 brass and turn the necks so they're not too thick.

I also would not trust them for reloading live rounds without first sectioning them and looking at the wall thickness compared to known good brass, and also doing a hardness test of the head portion, again compared to at least "soft" Federal brass.

Brass supplies might be short, but I don't think they're THAT short yet.
