    Guys,

What the hell am I missing? The universal adaptor is $35 and the suppressor mount is $80, this is now during black Friday sale prices. Why do I see people want to go the area419 route vs the CB? The TBAC brakes go for $125 so they are about same price. The CB also has 2 ports vs the single port mount from area419 so if you don't have the suppressor on, the TBAC option is going to reduce more felt recoil right, thus making it the more attractive option. I was planning on ordering all area419 hardware so that when my form4 clears, all my rifles are setup to run my can. But now that I am looking into this, I don't see why area419 is the more attractive option. Do I have it wrong, am I not seeing it right?

Personally, I use the factory TBAC brakes, it’s just my choice to stay factory.

You’re missing a couple things. The Area 419 system lets you buy one $80 adapter which stays in the suppressor, then each rifle you’re set up for is only $35 for the muzzle device. So 3 rifles would be $80 + 3x$35 = $185. Compare that to 3 rifles with the TBAC 30CB brake, 3x$125 = $375. As you can see, the more rifles you want to share the same suppressor with, the more money you save with the 419 system.

The other benefit is the 419 system would let you use a bunch of different suppressors on a bunch of different rifles (as long as they have the $35 adapter on the muzzle). It prevents needing specific suppressors to be mounted in specific mounts, thus limiting which rifle(s) they go one.

Lastly, if you want to shoot braked with the 419 system, then you buy a Hellfire brake which goes on the muzzle adapter. The TBAC 1-port adapter is not designed to be taken out and used as a brake. There is plenty of data that shows the 419 Hellfire brake performs better than the factory TBAC 30CB brake.

I knew there had to be something to it that I wasn't fully aware of. This is starting to make sense.

In my situation, I have 3 rifles I'd like to use my can on. I was also planning on using the CB that comes with it since it's already included. However, if I run the area 419 hardware on my other two rifles, it would not be very practical right? Since you mentioned the area 419 suppressor mount stand threaded in the can, I would not be able to then mount that can on the rifle with the CB. I mean, obviously I could but I would have to remove the suppressor mount.

Yes, then you’d have to do musical chairs swapping the 419 adapter in and out of the suppressor.

IMO you’re better off picking one option and going with it (either factory TBAC or 419). If you go 419 you can easily sell your TBAC brake.

Yes it seems that way. And while i wanted to stay with the factory option from TBAC, I think I may have to go Area 419 because of my 223. The 223 shoots so soft and very quiet without any muzzle attachments. The only two ways I'll ever want to shoot that one would be unbraked or suppressed.

I could get the flash hider from TBAC so that I do not add any unwanted blast when shooting unsuppressed but it already has a long barrel and I don't want to add to it. My best bet would be to use the Area 419 adaptor and their thread protector. Thanks a bunch for chiming in.
