At the range this weekend and took something different with me. This is a Fortuna Suhl drilling I aquired while stationed in Germany. It is a 7x57R x 16GA drilling (triplet) with a 22hornet einstecklauf (barrel insert).
The 7x57 was good enough for hunting in the woods but not super precise, about 3MOA at 100m. surprisingly the 22hornet insert was dead on out to 300M.
The super old Ziess scope has clarity to put a lot of modern optics to shame and the quick detach claw mount makes me feel a big more classy than those peasant rail mounts.
It was a ton of fun to shoot something a bit different and wanted to share. Need to try some skeet/trap next!
