New to long distance shooting, old Marine starting up a new hobby. I'm purchasing a pre 2014 AI AX in 7.62 and plan on buying a NF 5-25 ATACR to mount. I plan shoot paper out to 900 meters. Any suggestions on scope mount..rings, spuhr..whats a good height for the mount? Thanks for any replies.

I run a NF A361 mount on my AIAX for my ATACR. Good height for my 7-35 which has the same 56mm objective as the 5-25.

I like the AI mount. It does everything the others do and for way less$$$. Just buy a good anti-cant to go in front of your scope erector. I have found the Spuhr can be too close to see and have to break cheek weld. But that is just personal preference. The nice thing about the AI mount is that it uses the same exact Allen-hex key that fits under the AX cheek piece and changes barrels.

Another good one not mentioned much is the ADM delta. It doe not use split rings like other QD mounts. If you want a QD set up.
