Rifle Scopes Athlon cronus gen 1 vs gen 2

Hi guys.

I am looking at a Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56. How do i tell if it is a gen 1 or gen 2? I have heard ppl speak of the gen 1 and gen 2 Cronus, but i dont know how to tell them apart.

The gen 1 is just a "cronus". The gen 2 is a "cronus BTR".

There are multiple generations of even the non-BTR. Some got upgraded parallax knobs, upgraded turrets I think too, etc.

If the parallax knob goes from 250 straight to infinity, that's a pure gen 1. If it goes up to 1000 or so and then to infinity, that's a later version that I think also got slightly upgraded turrets. I've had all 3 and there were some small differences. BTR is the latest and best though.

That one looks like a Cronus BTR.

Thanks Doug, but i live in Europe, so its kinda expensive to buy from the US with the tax and all that have to be paid once the optic arrives here :-(
