I decided to poke around the Athlon site to look for binoculars. I’m not sure when, but at some point a bunch of G2 model binoculars were added. I don’t *think* they were there when I was on the site a week or two ago. Anyone have any insight into how these compare to the previous models? @gr8fuldoug?

These were just announced last week. New for 2020. Athlon revamped their binocular offerings. I have not seen one yet but look forward to it. IMO, Athlon is making all the right moves to position themselves for a solid, established quality optics company
@gr8fuldoug do you happen to know if more Cronus models are coming? I've been poking around for some mid range? binoculars and am considering the Cronus 15x. Now I'm wondering if it will be one of those things where the G2 Midas is as good as the "old" Cronus. Perhaps I should wait until the start of the year to see how this shakes out.
As I have not personally seen the new binocular offerings I cannot offer an opinion (well I could, but it would just be hear say and BS, lol)
The G2's, for the most part, are cosmetic and not optical improvements. The Cronus 10x42 Binocular & Cronus 8.5x42 Binocular @ $319.99 is a best buy, while the supply lasts
I should pick up some 10x's I love the 8.5's. I was at a PRS shoot with targets on a shaded hill with the sun setting behind and I could see them with my athlons, but had difficulty with the swaro scopes provided. The Athlons maintained decent contrast even with the sun in our faces. Everyone that tried them was surprised at the quality.
