Hey guys, looking at picking up a new optic for my Bergara B14 in 6.5 creed. Was looking at the Athlon Helos BTR gen 2 4-20x50 for $519 or the Athlon Ares BTR gen 2 4.5-27x50 for $695. Both FFP. My plan is to use this gun for both hunting and somewhat long range shooting. Shots hunting will be under 300 yards but I do plan to go out west for antelope and mule deer so I would like the capability to shoot out to 500 comfortably. Recreationally I really can only shoot out to about 750 where I live if I get lucky. Just curious if the Ares is worth the extra money for what I plan on using it for

Just an FYI, during our Year End Sale the Helos BTR Gen 2 4-20x50's are on sale for only $479.99. Whereas the Ares BTR Gen 2 is a superior unit, the Helos BTR Gen 2 will more then get the job done for you in a quality, reliable and dependable fashion for less $$$

I just ordered the helos 6-24 today for a kids prs22 gun. Will let you know how it compares to zco and tangent.
