Athlon Optics Midas BTR Rifle Scope 2.5-15x 50mm

Are you shooting for groups at 50 yards? Are you shooting steel at long range? If you are shooting for groups, I would higher. Many people have dedicated 36x scopes for target shooting. For long range steel shooting, I think 15x is fine (I prefer more magnification). I have a 25x and I wish I had the 50x that I was looking at buying.

I had 2 Midas 4.5-27 scopes and sold them because I wanted FFP. If you don't need FFP they are exceptional, for the price, in my opinion. The glass and turrets are a step above the Argos. The turrets are much better that what's on my Vortex Tactical FFP. For your purposes it would be a great scope and the price right now can't be beat. I have actually thought about making due with SFP on one of my rifles and returning to a Midas BTR. I also ran a basic tracking test one one BTR and it was perfect, I was actually surprised by it. I have a Midas TAC that replaced the other one but I'm keeping that.

I have two or the Midas BTR’s that I bought from Doug at Camera Land. For the price you can’t go wrong. I have the 4.5-27 models. The reticle is calibrated at 15x which is about right for longer range shooting when using the reticle for wind holds. The glass appears to be the same glass that the put in the Aries BTR. Looking through them they look the same and I have been told it is the same glass but do not know for sure. Either way at the current price it is hard to go wrong.
