Hey.
First post for me, and Im looking for some advice on bipods.
I want a stable bipod for longrange shooting, but also light enough to be able to carry on a hunt. Im thinking about the Accu tac SR-5 or Atlas PSR, do any of you experienced shooters have any advice for me?
Both for the brands I just named, but also if you have any other tips for me.
Thanks in advance.

All around I would go with the atlas, it’s light and got a narrow profile. The accutac is bulky and robust and would be quick to whip out or unsling to crack off a shot during a hunt.

Go atlas psr don’t look back

I don’t run an accutac but I have versa, Harris, cadex and atlas. I prefer the atlas to the Harris and versapod. I really like the quick detachment feature when I hunt. The atlas is light and I haven’t missed an opportunity due to the speed of deployment. But the cadex falcon is 14 oz and fells better to me than the others. If your looking for a really nice bipod with a good footprint you might want to give them a look. The only downside is trying to explain the bill to your wife.

I have Accu-tac and Harris. The Accu-tac is built like a tank. Legs adjust easy, multiple angle positions, each independent. Easy to adjust and they lock in solid every time. I like the cant, but just be aware that it does not pan (not a deal breaker for me). The cant adjustment is very solid and locks in place with a quick turn. I don't find it too feel heavy, but I'm honestly not that sensitive to the weight as my rifle is heavy anyway. This is my first non-Harris bipod as I wanted some adjustability beyond what I get with the harris.

I have an accutac and really like it, but when the legs are verticle, and feet are all the way in, its still a little tall when shooting from an elevated platform. For those cases I have to deploy the legs at the 45 deg angle and pull the feet out a couple notches. If I were to go back, I might would have gotten the Atlas, but I like the accutac enough to keep running it.
