So had a friend at an auction in Florida today.... estate auction with a pile of guns. He was there to buy a rare Enfield .22 trainer (which he lost out on... but got another smoking good deal on an Enfield rifle). He placed bids for me on a bunch of items and I scored probably some of the best gun deals of my life..... Always buy right before Christmas!
Spent about $900 and got:
French MAS 36
Enfield SMLE x 2 -- one s Long Branch. Both with bayonets and one with canvas scabbard. One had some canvas and a knife, too. Hoping it turns out to be a Sykes.
German GEW98
Civil War officers Lap Desk
Trapdoor Springfield in gorgeous condition with Bayonet and accessories.
Russian KRAG (Norwegian Manufacture) with bayonet.
Reproduction Navy Arms .58 Rifle with Bayonet.... Not worth much, but fun to shoot.
Auctions usually suck... unless they are in Florida, God's Waiting Room, and everyone is there to buy paintings bronze statues and art glass! Boowah hahahahhahahahhaha.....
