August match update:

Match entry will be done on bonus point system. Entries will be accepted the week of April 18th to April 22nd via email notification. Email address will only be active during that week and will be posted here. Your email entry will put you in the hat. If you attend two(2) or more of our regular matches in 2011 prior to the April 18th deadline, you will be put in the hat twice, once for your email and the other time for regular attendance. Any shooters that attend only one of our regular matches in 2011 prior to April 18th will be given preferential treatment on standby list. We will only have 50 spots available to shooters. The match will be held on August 6th and 7th at Gunsite. We will have paid staff on hand for insurance purposes, scoring and range officers. We are looking to supplement staff with volunteer range officers and spotters. Entry fee will be sorted shortly and will only be received once the draw has been completed. Entry fee must be received on or before May 16th, 2011 or spot will be forfeited to next available entry. Any additional updates will be posted at www.azprc.net under the August match link at the top!

You will get a bonus time in the hat if you made 2 or more matches this year. So far it looks like there are only a few that will get a double chance of getting in. Kinda like the Arizona hunt draw process. Registration opens on Monday and I don't think the bonus point system will play out unfavorable to the guys that have not shot with us this year. I will post draw odds after registration closes followed up shortly by the qualified shooters. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will get right back with you.

Sounds like a great match! Thanks for your work on it.

Just to confirm, slots in the match will be drawn randomly after the registration period ends correct? In other words, it won't matter how early in the week you register

ie: someone who registers at .01 seconds after registration begins won't have an advantage over someone who registers on Thursday or Friday.

Thanks for clarifying. Good matches are few and far between and one like this with only 50 slots will probably be tough to get in!

Email gets you in the hat no matter what. With attendance at 2 or more matches so far this year, gets you a second chance in the hat. You are correct DT1, it will not matter when you send registration, guy that sends email 1 second before we close it will not have any worse luck than guy that does it 1 second after we open it. We hope this helps the guys that are not available at the exact moment registration opens up.
