Re: Austin LE - WTF???? :)

Dear Lord,

I pray that upon arrival for my shift tomorrow night, I find a fellow officer pulling into the station with a torn out fuel hose hanging from the car. Please allow my smart phone to be nearby and my hand to be steady so that I may document his monumental screw up for all to see. Please.

Amen.

I would ask that anyone that works with this guy to please take a photo of his locker as I am sure that it is plastered with some of the best reading material in the history of policing.

THAT would be funny, they will not let him (or her) live this down for a long time.

Find it in good humor, we're all human...

I wouldn't laugh too hard. I've seen much, much worse from NOPD during Katrina...

Re: Austin LE - WTF???? :)

Not saying it hasn't ever happened BUT I have never seen a fire engine dragging a gas nozzle around and I know a deputy here that has done that!

Okay...
1. I don't work for NOPD, so I make no excuses for the actions of every member of the department. I was, however, shoulder to shoulder with numerous NOPD officers in the days leading up to and for almost 400 days after the storm. Unfortunately, the numerous acts of bravery and valor that I witnessed cannot outweigh the images of discredit that everyone has seen.
2. If you notice the NTRP image in the banner at the bottom of my posts, I have a good relationship with several Hide members from Texas. If you ever make it to NTRP, you can see my departmental patch and t-shirt that I hung on the wall. A friendly competition between our states and sports teams of our states makes for fun times.
3. I don't know you, so obviously the post wasn't intended as you perceived. Lighten up.
4. The "skunk" with the gas nozzle hanging off his unit is still funny.

I was just messing with you bro. I saw lots of good things happen there as well. Hope we never have that duty again! That is definitely funny, I had a girlfriend in high school that did exactly the same thing!
