SOLD
Originally bought this for an SBR project but decided to go a different direction.
For sale is an Auto Ordnance Thompson 1927A5 TA5 Pistol made by Khar Arms, this is an early made one with serial number 1776 which I thought was kind of interesting, it being the founding year of our beloved US of A.
This TA5 features the older flip-up "ladder-style" sight that the new TA5's don't come with anymore and an Aluminum receiver to make it more lightweight in it's pistol form and easier to handle.
This pistol version of the Thompson can accept both stick magazines and drum magazines and comes with one 50 round drum mag, one new 30 round mag, and a vintage Auto Ordnance (Bridgeport, CT) 20 round mag that was refinished and modified to fit the semi-auto Thompsons.
Also comes with the "third hand" tool which is used to actuate the bolt hold open so the drum can be inserted/removed, the tool does have some surface rust on it from long term storage (see pictures.)
Overall the gun is in excellent condition with very little exterior wear, the only noticeable wear is around the rails where the drum magazine slides into place and on the feed ramp which is common for the aluminum receiver Thompsons (See picture).
I have not shot this since I have owned it.
Will ship in the factory Thompson hard case with the manual included.
I will be selling the Thompson for $1450 + Shipping.
For payment I accept USPS MO, certified check, discreet PP, Zelle, or Venmo.
I can provide more detailed pictures upon request.
I also have some extra Thompson parts and furniture available. (see below.)
EDIT: Updated with new pictures, will come as shown.
The TA5 lower cannot accept a stock, however it can be replaced with a semi-auto 1927A1 lower and a stock can be added if you want to SBR it.
I do have an unmarked Numrich Steel semi-auto lower and extra Thompson Furniture sets (one of which is a brand new set w/ a vertical grip from Khar).
Lower has some machining marks near the magazine catch where it was modified to fit and the stock has some wear on the screws but is overall in good condition.
I also have a brand new Auto Ordnance Cutts Compensator and retaining pin.
Prices for the parts:
Steel semi auto lower with stock and hardware: Sold.
New Khar furniture set w/ vertical grip & vertical grip screw (stock and pistol grip screws not included): $200
AO Cutts compensator w/ pin: $75
Lightly used Pistol Grip: $25
I can provide more detailed pictures upon request.
