Avatar help

I have tried using the following two images for avatars with no luck. I thought maybe the one was too big, but it is already in use on this site. I have saved the images to photobucket and I cut and pasted the image to the add url avatar space under edit profile. They are both .gif images, so what am I doing wrong? Help!

This is the one I really want to use.

It's probably too big a file. Contact one of the moderators and ask for help.

I saved your first image in my photobucket,
then I used the "direct link"
(second link from the top next to the pic)

It worked in my avatar.
I actually switched it and then switched it back to my FAL.
worked fine, might see if it will work for you,

The profile settings say the avatar must be 80x80, but I tried a 100 and 200 pixel wide and the forum automatically resized it.
