AXMC & AT weights, small firing pin hole option, AT magazine -- anyone have these data?

Looks like the AXMC will save some weight in the buttstock and forend -- does anyone have the exact weight numbers of the new models?

Will there be a small firing pin hole option for either model?

Is the AT magazine a new magazine or the AX mag?

Apologies if I've missed this information in the various announcements. If not, hopefully someone has this information.

I believe the AT and AXMC will take the AW/AX mags. I think that's what I read earlier, but can't recall what thread it was in. Firing pin hole, I dunno. I know they will be lighter, but don't know the exact weights, but I'm sure we will have those numbers available to us soon.

No inside info. I wish! I read it in one of the threads here, but can't recall which one. I don't think the weight savings will be in pounds, more likely ounces.

I'd take ounces. Get enough of those and they become pounds .

Just looking at it. Especially the forend -- just look at the LMT slick. But I suspect the buttstock shaved a little from the old AX as well. It may not be a lot, but like you say, ounces add up. I was all set to try and get a close-out AE or AX -- but the new models turned out to offer more than I expected.

Just looking at it. Especially the forend -- just look at the LMT slick. But I suspect the buttstock shaved a little from the old AX as well. It may not be a lot, but like you say, ounces add up. I was all set to try and get a close-out AE or AX -- but the new models turned out to offer more than I expected.

I thought the buttstock looked like a fair chunk of aluminum and i figured the mechanism to hold the barrel tight was worth some weight as well. On the AT i thought all of the stuff on the front end would for sure add weight. I guess we'll just have to see how it comes out. I know I've got my AX empty with scope, mag and atlas down to 15lb 6oz with a 26" medium palma. I'd love to get it into the 14s but I'm down to the minimums except I could chop a few inches of barrel length. 4 inches would get me well into the 14s.

The AXMC was the only one I thought would shave weight. Can't wait to find out, and surprised no one who went to SHOT got that info.
