AXSR with Elite Iron bipod users

Has anybody mounted an Elite Iron bipod to the top pic rail on an AXSR, AXMC, AX? Pluses and minuses?

I have a few of them... on an AXSR or any AI they recommend only mounting from the bottom pic rail. Rock solid.
