Hunting & Fishing Bad Boy Buggies or ?

Re: Bad Boy Buggies or ?

There were lots of independent dealers in OK for these things not so much anymore.

It had a lot to do with the tax credit debacle. Put a lot of companies out of business. My father-in-law bought a Patriot it sucks, burned up two motors in the first 25 hours and he babies shit.

Re: Bad Boy Buggies or ?

Stealth is the only one I am familiar with. Know that they have had battery and motor problems over the years. They seem to work all right if the conditions are not too bad. Get one in some bad mud and the electricity goes away in a hurry. Need a Ranger to pull it back to camp. Stealth has come out with a hybrid model that has a small gas engine that should get you back to camp and also charges the battery while it is running. Unless you absolutely need the silence of an electric, I don't think they are anymore practical than electric cars... at this point in time.

Re: Bad Boy Buggies or ?

Friend of mine built one that is better than the ones you can buy. He bought a mid 1990's club car in 48 volt. Turned it into 4 wheel drive and added Lithium batteries. He can drive it all week hunting without having to recharge the batteries. He said there are some good youtube videos on how to do it. All total I think he spent about $8K. The batteries were $5K by themselves.
