bad guy thread?

Re: bad guy thread?

Recommend you try the search function and see what kind of reaction this "recommendation" of yours has received NUMEROUS times now re: "bad guy threads," "welcher threads," "deadbeat threads," etc., etc.

To save you the trouble...it ain't gonna happen, nor should it happen, and you may very well feel the sting of LL's boot in your hindparts just for mentioning it YET AGAIN (much less if you actually post a "deadbeat" thread). These things always turn ugly as hell, into general pi$$ing contests, and overall just detract from the whole purpose of the forum. Each time some jackhole posts a "deadbeat" thread, it also gives credence to eliminating the "For Sale" sections altogether which I think you'll agree you don't want that to happen (I know I'd prefer to keep the for sale sections around as I enjoy buying and selling from time to time). I actually suggested not long ago that a person should be "outed" for a deal gone bad (I was having a bad damn day or something), but it really accomplishes nothing and ends up screwing over everyone in the long run if you let that kind of stuff get posted.

Re: bad guy thread?

what is protocol when someone welch's? do we PM a mod? this person basically created an account to contact me about an item for sale, doesn't appear he's really going to use his account...

pisses me off when people don't keep their word.

Re: bad guy thread?

Well first off you don't make threads about it and get you and the other party banned for life. You simply PM a mod and he will take cafre os the situation. All you are accomplishing here, is giving Frank another reason to close down the sale sections.

Re: bad guy thread?

First, we can't do anything about bad sellers or buyers. It's a "caveat emptor" situation. It's your responsibility to use some common sense and get all kinds of contact information, especially if you're the buyer.

But posts about slamming bad transaction situations is a fast-track to the exit.

Re: bad guy thread?

Sorry guys.

I didn't realize this was a sore subject and an outright bad thing to bring up here. I wasn't intending to slam a transaction, was trying to find out what SOP is here on the Hide.
Next time I'll PM a mod.

I did search, but obviously not hard enough.
Thank you for the advice.
Regards

Re: bad guy thread?

I don't know. I'm not going to start a thread like this suggesting one, but I don't think it's a bad idea. I think negative feedback should be allowed to be posted. We need to know who to stay away from so that they don't continue to keep screwing people. This is actually the first forum I've been on where they don't have a place that negative feedback can be posted.

It's whatever though, because it's not my sight, and the owners of it can run it how they choose.

Re: bad guy thread?

THERE IS NO NEED FOR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WE SIMPLY BAN ANY ONE WHO FALLS DOWN ON A FOR SALE TRANSACTION. PERIOD !

IF YOU FAIL IN YOUR TRANSACTION AND IT IS NOT A HE SAID / SHE SAID ISSUE, WE BAN YOU. IF YOU ENGAGE IN A HE SAID / SHE SAID DEBATE OVER A TRANSACTION WE BAN BOTH OF YOU.

IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, DON"T BUY ANYTHING ON HERE. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO USE THE FOR SALE SECTION. IF YOU DON"T TRUST THE SELLER DON'T BUY !

SO THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN KEEP SCREWING PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE NO LONGER MEMBERS, I DON"T EVEN HESITATE, I DON"T ASK THEIR SIDE OF THE STORY, I BAN THEM. NO DRAMA, NO QUESTIONS, SCREW SOME ONE AND YOU'RE GONE !

THAT IS THE NEGATIVE TRANSACTION POLICY !
