Any of you have a bad luck rifle?

I bought a 358win a few years ago. A rifle I have always wanted. Short light gun perfect for shooting just about anything, built on a Montana action with a 22" barrel. I mounted a Nightforce 1-4 on it and loaded up some 250gr Hornadys and found out it shoots amazing! But the damn thing is bad luck!!!

I have taken it out on quite a few hunts in quite a few states after various quarry any have yet to draw blood with it. I have even taken it to a couple hog ranches and it almost repels animals! I have since built an almost identical 308win on a Win action and I have no major problems finding animals for the freezer. I hate to leave the 358 in the safe because I do love the gun but can't get past the bad luck.

Any of you have bad luck guns?

I can really relate to this. Many years ago I took a Ruger M77 barrelled action & bedded it to a Brown Precision stock, topped it w/ a Leupold 3.5 - 10 power. Developed a good load for it with partitions & took it elk hunting. For four years I carried that rifle in New Mexico & Colorado (public land) without seeing a legal bull. Never fired it at an animal. Finally figured it to be a bad luck rifle & ditched it. Started right back to killing elk again. Go figure. I believe in bad luck rifles!

Not so much bad luck, but a bad rifle all the same. I bought a remington 742 carbine in .308. It could't group better than 4"@100. It was a horrible rifle. I'm guessin shot out barrel or somethin simple wrong with it. I traded it off at the next gun show. I've never had a problem with game comin close to me. I'm a deer magnet. Lol!

I have determined that it is me that is the bad luck in my case. I have carried almost all of my rifles with me and have nearly the same luck with them all.
