Badger DBM?

Thinking about getting one for my 308 but wanted to know the max COL that will work in it.

Waiting to hear back from them on this issue but I seem to recall it may be 2.830.Not sure if this is correct.

With AI mags you will be able to go 2.855 without feeding problems....its a good system.

Good to know!I planned to sell my stock with M5 bottom and go with a McRee stock that accepts AI mags.

FWIW..... In my reloading notes I have a measure of 2.850" as maximum COAL with the AICS mags. I measured 6 different mags to determine a minimum spec that would clear them all (there were variations between the mags). That said, many have modded their mag by removing the front plate for a bit of extra room.

Thanks Hazardus!I think the AICS mags do allow a longer COL than the Badger M5 and I like that McRee stock!

I thought the M5 uses AI mags? If so, it would seem that anything an AICS can cycle, an M5 should cycle.

the M5 does use AI mags, the same as the AICS.

no worries, MacMan. many DBM systems use AI mags, though. Surgeon, V Bull, Badger, CDI, ect... i'm happy about that, as AI makes great magazines and having several of my rifles take the same magazines is nice.
