Re: Badger EFR installation questions
Depending on any built in MOA on your base and the size of your barrel contour, you may not want to align the EFR rail with your scope rail.
The EFR has no built in MOA. Some barrel contours are a very tight fit through it and if you tilt the EFR rail to match the receiver rail, the thru hole in the EFR gets canted and makes for a smaller clearance for your barrel.
Biggest thing is to zero your stock with all axis level and straight to the receiver and barrel inlet. Then mill your inlet with zero slop to the EFR. The bottom of the EFR has two 10-32 holes tapped. Get an extra long swivel stud and make sure your new inlet positions one of those holes over your original stud hole. When complete, the swivel stud adds insurance that a 4 pound MUNS won't loosen the mount later.
Or. . just send you stock to someone that has a lot of these in the field. I'm sure Marty could give you a list of several not too far from you.
The best front mount night vision like OSTI allow over 1 degree (which is a lot) of misalignment without effecting the POI.
